Overview:

Jhpiego, a global leader in improving health care for women and families, is looking to hire a Program Officer based in Azad Jammu Kashmir. Jhpiego is undertaking a National Infection Prevention and Control program in AJK and Islamabad in collaboration with the National Institute of Health under a Global Fund award. The job will support project implementation by aiding the program team with various activities. The role will report to the Technical Lead IPC.

Responsibilities:

The Program Officer will work with the Technical Manager IPC and the Jhpiego Project team to:
Support the execution of work plan activities in the country office, as well as provincial teams (ISL, AJK).
Assist in conducting periodic technical trainings and supportive supervision.
Assist operations and finance teams in conducting training, finalizing the activities report, managing overall activities, developing financial sheets for activities, and compiling financial and operational papers required for activity implementation and closure.
Support the healthcare-associated infection surveillance component and troubleshooting.
Create thorough program plans with schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
Data should be researched and analyzed to determine program needs and improvement opportunities.
Write project briefs, and with the help of the team leader, design and develop data collection technologies for the project.

Assemble briefing materials and develop powerpoint and other project presentations under the direction of the team leader.
Oversee the day-to-day operation of program activities, ensuring that they are consistent with the set plan.
Monitor program progress and make adjustments as needed to fulfill targets under the direction of the technical manager.
Assist team leader in monitoring project budget, tracking expenses, and ensuring financial accountability.

Conduct regular evaluations of program efficacy and effects.
Reports on program results, problems, and suggestions for improvement.
Maintain accurate project documentation, such as expense reports, participant statistics, and program assessments.
Coordinate and assist the team leader in the successful completion of the project.
Any other assignment specified by the team leader.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Masters in Public Health, Business Administration, Economics, or Biostatistics with 3-5 years of related experience.
Proven ability in data analysis and publication.
Having expertise with the administration and management of activities at the national and provincial levels.
Proven communication, coordination, and documentation abilities and expertise
Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools.
Understanding of fieldwork, stakeholders, and project management tools
Ability to create reports and use social media
A good team player with strong coordination skills.
Excellent communication, writing, and presenting skills.
Ability to travel throughout the country.
