U.S. Mission Pakistan is seeking applications from qualified individuals for Administrative Assistant (CLO) position in U.S. Embassy, Islamabad

Basic Function of the Position – The Community Liaison Office (CLO) Administrative Assistant assists the Community Liaison Office with administrative tasks. Working closely with the CLO Coordinator and Assistant CLO Coordinator, the position is overseen by the CLO Coordinator. Together, they support the office's successful programming under each of the eight Areas of Responsibility (family member employment, crisis management and security, education, communications and outreach, guidance and referral, welcoming, orientation, and departures, community liaison, and events planning). Additionally, they build and maintain important relationships and manage data that enhances the mission's overall welfare and morale.

Qualification Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:  Minimum two (2) years of administrative/office experience is required.

EDUCATION:  Completion of Higher Secondary School (12 years of education) is required.

Job Knowledge: Must be able to comprehend the fundamentals of both the US federal government's organization and the Foreign Service idea. It is necessary to have a general understanding of office management, administration, and Microsoft Office. To fulfill the requirements of the mission, the incumbent must possess a thorough understanding of the host nation and know exactly where to find the services they need.

LANGUAGE:  Level III (Good working knowledge) in English and Urdu is required. English language skills may be tested.

Skills And Abilities: the capacity to write reports and messages. strong organizing abilities (digital and physical filing system organization). strong research abilities and Microsoft 365 expertise. All mission U.S. Direct Hires (USDH), Eligible Family Members (EFMs), Members of Household (MOHs), and local staff, including agency/section heads and ambassador level, should be able to engage professionally with the incumbent. Possessing interpersonal skills that aid in networking within the community's commercial and service sectors is essential. There may be tests of abilities and skills.
